Youth Clinics and Pop-Ups
Are scholarships or financial assistance available for local communities?
Yes! Thanks to the support of our growing network of public-private funders, we can provide scholarships to local communities domestically and internationally for all of our Sports Power Clean Energy youth clinics. Spaces are limited, and early registration is recommended. We have a limited number of scholarships available. We also offer a multi-child discount of 25% for each additional child. What is the non-refundable registration fee?
Each Sports Power Clean Energy Clinic has limited availability and spots fill up quickly! Registration is first-come, first-served. Our registration fee ensures that available spots are not reserved for registrants who fail to attend the clinic.
What is your credit/refund policy?
We offer refunds up to 2 weeks before the 1st day of any Sports Power Clean Energy Clinic. However, thanks to the support of public-private funding, most of our clinics are free of charge.
Do you provide transportation to and from the program?
We do not provide transportation to our clinics. However, when noted, transportation for our sports and/or clean energy field trips is provided by a licensed professional bus charter.
What kind of gear/clothing does my child need?
All student-athletes should wear appropriate t-shirts, athletic shorts, and sneakers. Water is provided, but a refillable water bottle is encouraged. Children enrolled in soccer will need shin guards.
What are your arrival/dismissal procedures?
Arrival: Parent/guardian must sign their child in every day. Please bring your state-issued photo I.D.

*Note: The person signing out your student-athlete MUST be listed on your student/athlete’s "Pickup Authorization" registration form.
Can my child be dropped off early or picked up late?
We do not offer before or after-care. Children must be dropped off no earlier than 20 minutes prior to the start of the clinic and must be picked up promptly at its conclusion.
What is basketball training like at the Sports Power Clinic?
Basketball training includes: •dynamic warm-ups •fundamental skills: ball handling, dribbling, passing, footwork, lay-up form, defense, & shooting •conditioning drills •scrimmage games •fun contests & competitions
What is soccer training like at the Sports Power Clinic?
Soccer training includes: •Dynamic warm-ups •agility and ball mastery: dribbling, passing, turning, receiving, shooting •1v1 skills: defending, change direction, feints, stops & starts •scrimmage games •fun contests & competitions
What is the Sports Power Clean Energy Education?
Nationally recognized •focused on offshore wind •experiential & collaborative: group work, problem-solving •hands-on: build turbines, measure wind speed & sound waves, create wind farms, create community plans for clean energy
Who are the instructors and coaches?
Our coaching staff comprises professional coaches with extensive playing and coaching experience. Staff must pass a rigorous screening process that includes background checks. Our energy instructors are educators with professional experience in teaching, curriculum creation, and counseling.
How are the children organized for sports training?
After an initial evaluation, participants are grouped by age and skill level. The Sports Power Clinic is suitable for all skill levels within the age range.
Do you screen your staff?
Staff must pass a comprehensive background check that includes national and state sex offender registries.
